Employment & Resume Information
Klatt Temporary Service is your employer. We are responsible for your pay, tax withholding, and raises. You will receive one W-2 at the end of the year from us, no matter how many temporary assignments you may work at during that time.
If you are applying for full time work, please use Klatt Temporary Service as your reference. Klatt has all of your payroll information, allowing us to verify employment information and job performance with potential future employees.
Accepting An Assignment
When we call you with a possible temporary assignment you will be given the approximate job description, length of service, pay rate and location. At this time, please decide if all the criteria fit your needs. We only want you to accept what is right for you. Your happiness is one of our most important goals.
If you choose to accept an assignment, we expect you to be available for the length of time you have committed to us. However, clients often will extend assignments beyond their original length of time. If this should happen to you, please let us know whether or not you will be able to continue the job. If you are unavailable to continue on that job and we have advanced notice, we may be able to put another qualified temporary in your place, which increases the number of potential jobs for everyone.
Office Hours
We are here from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday. If you are ever ill, or have an emergency which makes you unable to go on your assignment, please call us promptly at 8:00 a.m. to let us know. We want to talk to you to know your future availability to work.
Availability For Work
Please call us at least twice a week to let us know if you are available for temporary work. If we do not hear from you, we assume that you have found other employment. Even if you are away from home for the day, call us with the number where we can reach you. The more accessible you are to us, the easier it is for us to find you for temporary work.
When An Assignment Ends
Always notify us when your assignment is ending so that we can find you additional work. If you are not reassigned immediately, you must call at least every other day for reassignment. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in denial of unemployment compensation benefits.
Permanent Work
We understand that many of our employees' goals are to secure full time employment. There are several steps that can make this a more successful process.
- It is always smart to schedule any interviews during lunch hours or before/after office hours. That way, you can usually accept temporary assignments and still work on your goal of full time employment.
- If you do secure full time employment, please give us as much notice as possible. Employers realize the value of commitment and will appreciate your commitment and will appreciate your commitment to us. We request several days to several weeks notice if possible.
- Always remember, we are happy to give you a good reference for the quality work and good attitude you exhibit on temporary jobs.
- Please notify us if you are offered employment from any firm or individual to whom you have been assigned to work as an employee of Klatt Temporary Service within a time period of 90 days from the date of completion of said assignment.
